If your account is funded, simply withdraw the funds to your linked bank account by signing in from a web browser and clicking on your name in the top-right corner of your account > Withdrawals. Once the account balance is at $0, you can click on the account and you should see the option to "archive it".
If you would like to deactivate your entire Wealthsimple profile, please note that there is no charge for keeping your account open with us. Furthermore, keeping your account open will make it easier for you to access your tax slips come that time of year as well as all of your account statements. You can also certainly unsubscribe from our mailing lists if you decide to keep your account open under your Settings.
If you would still like to deactivate your profile, you can do so when logged in to your profile online through a desktop. While logged in, click your name in the top right corner and select "Settings". At the bottom of the "Profile" tab, the "Deactivate Profile" option will appear. Note that you will not be able to deactivate your profile unless you've withdrawn all funds and cancelled any pending deposits.
