Why yes they did! We changed our pricing structure in January 2017. Before we get into the new pricing, the first thing to know is that if you were already a Wealthsimple client, your fees are now either lower or remain the same.
If you have under $100,000 in net deposits, you'll continue to pay a management fee of 0.5%. If you've deposited between $100,000 and $250,000, your fee will be lower - you'll pay 0.4% instead of 0.5%. If you have over $250,000 invested, you won't see any changes to the fees you pay.
Under our old pricing structure, investors with over $1 million paid 0.35%. Now all clients with deposits above $100,000 pay 0.4%. But clients who were paying 0.35% under our old pricing structure will continue to pay that rate.
You can always see the fees you pay to Wealthsimple under the Activity tab in your profile. And you can find more on how Wealthsimple charges fees here.
