Can I have a joint TFSA?

You cannot have a joint TFSA with you and your spouse or anyone else. A TFSA must be held by one individual only. This is because each person has their own individual contribution limit, and this cannot be combined with anyone else. You are able to open a joint non-registered account with a significant other if you like, as well as designate beneficiaries and successor holders to your TFSA.
