The Public Service Alliance of Canada Union of Taxation Employees (“PSAC - UTE”) launched nationwide strike votes for their 35,000 CRA members on January 31, 2023. The strike vote will be held from January 31, 2023 until April 7, 2023. Should union members vote to strike, the union will be in a legal position to strike on April 7, 2023.

At this stage, we don’t yet know if a strike will occur or how it might impact tax filing, return processing, and refund payments.
