Why am I getting an error on my limit order?
Limit orders that are too far from the quoted price may be rejected. For example, if you place an order to buy a stock at $100, but it's currently trading at $1, it may be rejected. These rejections ensure that orders execute quickly during periods of exceptionally high trading volume. Limit orders that are very far from the quoted price won't be accepted and posted to market.
If you're noticing your order is being rejected, please try again with an order price that's closer to the current market price.
