Wealthsimple uses a secure service to verify your bank account information. It's the quickest way to safely link your bank account to your Wealthsimple account.
To add a new bank account, when you are on the main screen, tap the Profile icon at the top-left corner, then click Settings and tap ‘Manage bank accounts.’ You'll be asked to select your bank and enter your online banking details. If you're new to Wealthsimple, you'll be prompted to do this when setting up your profile.
If your bank isn't listed or if you'd prefer to verify your bank account manually, you can click tap onto the ‘X’ after selecting your institution and can verify your bank manually.
You'll need the following details:
Institution Number (3 digits)
Transit Number (5 digits)
Account Number (7-11 digits)
