Wealthsimple Trade does not currently support real-time quotes. Market price quotes displayed in the app are delayed by up to 15 minutes!

This does not mean that data is updated every 15 minutes - instead, there is an up-to-15 minute delay on the data you're seeing updated continuously.

For example, if you're looking at the quote for a particular stock at 1:15 pm you could be seeing a quote that is as far back as 1:00 pm, and at 1:16 pm it could be as far back as 1:01 pm, and so on and so forth!

This 15-minute delay also applies to orders submitted when the market opens at 9:30 am. Orders submitted during the first 15 minutes of the market opening will still be using the previous day's quotes until we receive the newest quotes at 9:45 am.

However, any order that you submit will be executed at the best available price on the market at the time of submission. Our executing brokers are obligated by law to provide you with the best possible price.
