Even though your account may be for two or more children, the government grant is for each individual child. So when we apply to get your grant, we need to do it in the name of the individual beneficiary. In many cases, you may want to make identical deposits for each beneficiary. But in some cases, clients appreciate the flexibility in being able to dictate to which beneficiary their deposits counts (usually the case if one child is going to school sooner than the other).
When contributing to your RESP when connected through a browser, you can use the drop-down menu on the lefthand side of the screen to select the beneficiary of the contribution.
