Issues connecting a bank account can sometimes happen with the third party that powers this feature, Plaid. In most cases, the issue will resolve itself - and you can try again later.
You can also manually link your bank account instead. The process takes a little longer, and you'll need to manually add your bank information or a void cheque.

To manually link your bank account from the new Wealthsimple Cash app:
1. Open the app
2. Tap your Wallet balance at the top of the screen
3. Click Add
4. After you enter your deposit amount, a message will appear that says "Wealthsimple uses Plaid to link your bank account"
5. Tap the X to escape this screen and you will be prompted to manually add your banking details instead. You'll need to enter your transit number, account number, and upload a bank document.
