If you are exempt from paying CPP, EI or PPIP premiums, it should be indicated on your T4 slip.

• CPP exempt: If you are exempt from CPP, click the checkbox beside box 28 for CPP. Enter the amount from box 16, if an amount is shown.

• EI exempt: If you are exempt from EI, click the checkbox beside box 28 for EI. Enter the amount from box 18, if an amount is shown.

• PPIP Exempt: If you earned income in Québec and are exempt from paying into the PPIP, click the checkbox beside box 28 for PPIP. Enter the amount in box 55, if an amount is shown.
