Wealthsimple will automatically deposit a cash bonus of $10 into your Trade account if you file your taxes with Wealthsimple Tax for the first time in 2022. 

In order to be eligible for this promotion, you must meet the following criteria:

• You must be a Canadian resident
• You must be an existing Wealthsimple Trade or Crypto client
• You must not have previously filed your taxes with Wealthsimple Tax
• You must file your 2021 tax return with Wealthsimple Tax
• You must file your return before April 4, 2022

Note: If you are a Trade or Crypto client who previously opened an account with Wealthsimple Tax, but did not file a return, you are eligible for this bonus. 

Claim your bonus

You will receive an email as soon as your bonus is ready for you. The bonus is applied to eligible accounts within 10 days of filing your return. 

In order to claim this bonus, you must have a Personal (non-registered) account open on Wealthsimple Trade. If you do not have a Personal account, you will need to open one. 

Terms and conditions

Until April 4, 2022 for eligible participants, Wealthsimple will deposit a cash bonus of $10 (the “Bonus”) in your Wealthsimple Trade Personal account when you open a new Wealthsimple Tax account (the “Promotional Account”) and file an income tax return for the 2021 tax year via the Promotional Account. 

This promo cannot be combined with other sign-up offers or promotion codes and cannot be applied retroactively. Limit 1 per user. Bonus will be deposited into your Wealthsimple Trade account. Please allow up to ten (10) business days after the tax return filing submission for the Bonus to be paid into your account. 

Who can participate in this promo?

This promotion is only available to existing Wealthsimple Trade or Wealthsimple Crypto users who have not previously filed an income tax return with Wealthsimple Tax. Participants must be residents of Canada and at least the age of majority in the province or territory in which they reside. In order to receive the Bonus, eligible participants must have a Wealthsimple Trade Personal account that is in good standing when the Bonus is awarded.
