Turn on privacy mode
Cash privacy mode allows you to set your profile to private in the Wealthsimple Cash app. This means that your handle, phone number, and email are hidden from anyone who is not in your contact list.
To activate privacy mode, follow these steps:
- Log into your Wealthsimple mobile app.
- Tap the Profile icon in the top right corner.
- Tap the gear icon in the top right corner.
- Tap Login and security.
- Under Cash, toggle on Privacy mode.
Note: You can toggle privacy mode on and off at any time.
Block a contact
When you sync your contacts with Cash, we add all your eligible contacts to your list of friends. If there is a specific contact you do not wish to have as a friend on Wealthsimple, you can block them directly from your profile.
Blocking a contact will have the following impact:
- Remove them from your friends bar and contact list
- Hide each of you in each other’s profile
- Prevent payments and payment requests to and from each other
To block a Wealthsimple Cash app user, follow these steps:
- Log into your Wealthsimple mobile app.
- Tap the Home tab
at the bottom of your screen.
- Select your Cash account.
- Tap Send or request.
- Select either Send or Request.
- Scroll down to your desired contact.
- Select the contact.
- Tap the gear icon at the top of your screen.
- Select Block user.
- Confirm to block the user.
Unblock a user
To unblock a Wealthsimple Cash app user that you previously blocked, follow these steps:
- Log into your Wealthsimple mobile app.
- Tap the Profile icon at the top-right of your screen.
- Tap Login and security.
- Select Blocked accounts.
- Tap the account you wish to unblock and confirm.
