With our seamless on-boarding process, you can set up your account and initiate a fund transfer in under 15 minutes.
Deposits made by debit card are processed in a matter of minutes whilst bank transfers are typically completed within 24 hours. You will see the funds on your account the following business day. If you made your deposit over the weekend, you will see the funds on your account on the following Tuesday.
Direct debits generally come out of your account on the day assigned, however they can come out up to 5 days afterwards as well (just not earlier)- it really depends on your bank and the payment method they use. If the money isn't reflecting on your account yet, please hang tight!
Once received, we'll process orders to invest your money within 2 working days. From this point you are invested! However, it can take up to a further 3 working days for the orders to settle (the process of exchanging cash for your newly acquired investments). At this point your portfolio will be visible online.
Transferring an ISA or pension to Wealthsimple can take up to 2-4 weeks. We're working hard to make these transfers faster; however, they're heavily dependent on the time it takes your current institution to respond to the transfer request.
My funds haven't been traded or transferred and it's passed the timeline stated above. What do I do?
1. There are a few things to note with the timelines above.
The first is that these timelines may be extended if you just opened your account or if you are funding your account for the first time. Please allow 1-2 additional business days to the times above if this is the first time you are funding your account.
We update account values once per day. This means the function may be completed but not reflecting on your dashboard until the following day's update.
2. In some cases, we require additional information to open your account or verify your bank before we can perform the functions above. Please check your emails from the email address that you have registered with Wealthsimple to see if you've received any account updates from our support team.
3. If one of the functions above is still taking longer than expected, please send a request to our Relationship Management team.
