Our three Balanced Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) portfolios have a 50%, 60% and 70% equity allocation respectively. They are suitable for people with a low-to-medium risk tolerance. If you intend to hold your investments for the medium term, are relatively cautious with your capital but willing to seek return by taking a reasonable level of risk, these portfolios are for you.
Performance
Below you can see how our 60% equity portfolio has performed over a number of 12 month periods. This portfolio has grown by 26.98% from when it was launched on 16th January 2018 to 30th September 2020.
This gives an average annualised performance of 8.27% to the end of last quarter.
It is important to remember that these performance figures only illustrate a single snapshot of time. Over multiple timeframes as shown in the table below, you can get a better perspective on how the strategy has performed.

To put these figures in context, it's useful to compare them against an appropriate benchmark. To do this, we've used the ARC Steady Growth Index which illustrates the average performance of our peer group across a number of risk levels. Over 50 investment services in the UK contribute to the ARC, including Barclays, UBS, Charles Stanley & Rathbones, making it a great tool for analysing how similar offerings have performed.
The average underlying fund fees for our SRI portfolios is 0.26% per annum.
All quoted performance figures are net of Wealthsimple’s standard 0.70% annual charge and the underlying fund fees.
