What is audit support?
Audit support applies to all returns submitted through Wealthsimple Tax for the tax year in which you purchased the protection. Our service helps you:
- Understand notices from the CRA or Revenu Québec
- Clarify required documents
- Assist with next steps and follow-ups

How to purchase audit support
Audit support is free for:
- Wealthsimple Premium and Generation clients
- Wealthsimple for Business clients
To purchase audit support:
- Log in to your Wealthsimple profile
- Select the Tax tab
- Choose or start a tax return
- Navigate to the File with confidence section on the left-hand side
- Select Audit support
- Follow the prompts to complete the purchase
How to use audit support
If you receive a Notice of Reassessment:
- Contact our support team within 7 days of the notice date
- Provide:
- Copy of all CRA or Revenu Québec correspondence
- Your NETFILE or NetFile Québec confirmation number (found in the Submit section of your Wealthsimple Tax return)
- Gather all documents used to prepare your return
Our team will guide you through the process and help address the reassessment or audit.
