Overview
Most internal funds transfers are instant. In some cases, you can cancel a pending transfer. You can also check the status of a pending transfer at any time.
Check the status of a pending funds transfer
You can check the status of a recent funds transfer between your accounts through the Wealthsimple mobile app.
To view the status of a pending funds transfer:
- Sign in to the Wealthsimple app on your mobile device
- Tap the Activity (clock) tab
- Tap Pending from the options at the top of the screen
- Select an internal transfer to view its Status and details
Tip: We’ll cancel transfers out of Cash accounts if they’re in progress for more than 5 business days. This happens when your transfer experiences an error. If Wealthsimple cancels your internal transfer, please contact Client Support.
Cancel a pending funds transfer
You can only cancel a pending funds transfer from a managed portfolio to another Wealthsimple account.
To cancel a transfer from a managed portfolio:
- Sign in to the Wealthsimple app on your mobile device
- Tap the Activity (clock) tab at the bottom of the screen
- Tap Pending from the options at the top of the screen
- Select the In progress transfer you'd like to cancel
- Tap Cancel
- Log in to your Wealthsimple profile
- Select Activity from the menu at the top of the page
- Select Pending from the Quick filters menu
- Select the In progress transfer you'd like to cancel
- Select Cancel
