Overview
You can find your account number in the Wealthsimple app and on the web. Your account number is a unique identifier for your specific account.
How to find your account number
Follow these steps to find your account number:
- Log in to the Wealthsimple app
- Tap your desired account
- Tap the Settings (gear) icon in the top-right corner
- The account number is at the top of the screen
- Log in to your Wealthsimple profile
- Select your Profile in the top right-hand corner
- Choose Settings from the menu
- Select Accounts from the options
- Select an account
- The account number is at the top of the page
You can also find your account numbers at any time in each of your trade confirmations, monthly statements, and the Investor Policy Statement.
Understanding your account numbers
- Self-directed investing account numbers begin with 'H' and end in either 'CAD' or 'USD'.
- Managed portfolio account (including our Registered Savings Account) numbers begin with 'W' and end in 'CAD'.
- Self-directed portfolio account numbers begin with 'WZ' and end in 'CAD'.
Some non-registered accounts have a single CAD account number for both CAD and USD assets, even after upgrading to USD accounts. Other accounts have both CAD and USD account numbers. This is expected and doesn't affect your activity with Wealthsimple.
If your account has only a CAD number, please note that USD and CAD cash are held in the same account.
