What is Popcat?
POPCAT is a meme coin launched on the Solana blockchain, inspired by the viral "Popcat" internet meme featuring a cat with a popping mouth expression. It gained popularity in early 2024 as part of a broader wave of socially-driven tokens that thrive on internet culture and community hype. Like many meme coins, POPCAT has no inherent utility or technological innovation, but instead relies on meme appeal, speculative trading, and community engagement for its value and momentum.
What is POPCAT?
POPCAT is a Solana Program Library (SPL) token on the Solana network, and has a fixed total and circulating supply of approximately 980 million units, with no additional tokens to be minted. POPCAT is a meme coin, and does not otherwise offer any utility on the Solana network.
