Overview
We might ask you to provide an investment account statement when you’re transferring an external investment account (Tax-Free Savings Account, Registered Retirement Savings Plan, Registered Education Savings Plan, and more) from another institution to Wealthsimple.
Get an investment account statement
There are a few ways to find your account statement:
Online
You can access account statements online for most institutions:
- Log in to your institution's website through a web browser.
- Once you are logged in to your account profile, navigate to "My Documents" or "My Account Statements" (the language for these sections may vary).
- Download the appropriate document (typically a monthly or annual statement) to your computer
- Upload it to your Wealthsimple profile
Email or paper mail
All institutions are required to send you your account statements, either by email or paper mail.
- If you receive statements by email, please download the document as a PDF and upload it to your Wealthsimple profile.
- If you receive your account statement by mail, please scan or take a high-resolution picture and upload it to your Wealthsimple profile.
Call your branch
If you can't access your account statement online or can't find any mailed statements, you can contact your branch. Your branch representative can help advise you on how to access your account statements.
Visit your branch in person
Alternatively, you can visit your local branch and ask for your investment account statements. They can print or email your statements to you, which you can then upload to the Wealthsimple website.
