After submitting your tax return, you can verify its successful transmission to the CRA and Revenu Québec (if applicable) in the following ways:
For CRA submissions:
- In Wealthsimple Tax:
- Open your Tax profile
- Navigate to the Submit section
- Look for the confirmation number provided by the CRA
- Check your email:
- Look for an email titled CRA submission confirmation
- This email comes from support@wealthsimple.com
For Revenu Québec submissions:
- In Wealthsimple Tax:
- Open your Tax profile
- Navigate to the Submit section for Québec
- Look for the confirmation number provided by Revenu Québec
- Check your email:

- This email comes from support@wealthsimple.com

The presence of a confirmation number indicates that your return has been received.
Important notes:
- Confirmation numbers remain available in their respective Submit sections until an amendment is made
- If you amend your return, a new confirmation number will be provided for the ReFILE
- The initial confirmation message appears only once, immediately after submission
- If you don't have a confirmation number, your return hasn't been submitted
- A receipt for your tax plan purchase is not confirmation of submission
For tax return and refund status updates:
- Check your CRA My Account or Revenu Québec My Account
- Contact the CRA or Revenu Québec directly for processing details (Wealthsimple doesn't have access to this information)
If you can't find your confirmation number or email, contact Wealthsimple support. For questions about the status of your return after submission, consult your CRA My Account, Revenu Québec My Account, or contact the CRA or Revenu Québec directly.
