Overview
If your physical prepaid Mastercard is lost, stolen, or damaged, you can easily request a replacement directly in the Wealthsimple app. We'll immediately lock your old card to protect your chequing account and send a new card to your mailing address. While you wait for your new card, you can continue using your virtual card for online purchases or by adding it to your digital wallet.
How to replace your card
You can request a replacement for a lost, stolen, or damaged physical prepaid Mastercard directly in the Wealthsimple app.
To request a new card, follow these steps:
- Log in to the Wealthsimple app
- Tap your chequing account
- Tap the Card icon at the top of the screen
- Swipe left to view your Physical card settings
- Tap Replace card
- Review the information and tap Replace card again
- When prompted "What happened to your card?", choose one of the following: Lost, Stolen, or Damaged
- Tap Next
- Confirm your mailing address and tap Confirm to complete your request
You can expect to receive your physical prepaid Mastercard within 20 business days.
