Overview
Every employee on your dashboard is assigned a specific status to help you track their progress in joining your company plan. Understanding these statuses ensures you know when an employee is ready for payroll contributions.
Employee statuses
The following table describes what each status means for your employees:
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Unassigned | The employee profile has been created, but it has not been assigned to a specific plan yet. |
| Invited | The employee has been assigned to a plan and invited to join, but they have not taken any action to open their account. |
| Active | The employee has redeemed their invite to join the plan, but they haven’t completed their enrollment. Because they haven’t signed the agreements, the account can’t accept payroll contributions. |
| Contributing | The employee has completed their enrollment. This doesn’t necessarily mean they have set their contribution elections (if Wealthsimple is responsible for capturing them) or have a funded account yet. |
| Archived | The employee has been removed from the plan and is no longer eligible for payroll contributions. |
View and filter employees by status
You can view and filter employees by their current status. Follow these steps:
- Log in to Wealthsimple on the web
- Select the Employees tab
- Under the Status section on the left-hand side, check the status to filter by
- The employee list on the right-hand side will update accordingly
