What is OpenLedger?
OpenLedger is a blockchain-based protocol designed to support decentralized infrastructure for artificial intelligence (AI). The platform enables the creation, sharing, and monetization of data, models, and AI agents through a transparent, on-chain system. By introducing a decentralized framework for data coordination and attribution, OpenLedger aims to address the concentration of data and value within centralized AI systems. The protocol allows contributors to be credited and compensated for their contributions, supporting a more transparent and incentive-aligned AI ecosystem.
What is OPEN?
The native token of the protocol is OPEN, which operates on the Ethereum network and serves as the utility and governance token of the OpenLedger ecosystem. OPEN is used for transaction processing, governance, and coordinating activity across the network. The token enables payment for network fees and AI-related services (e.g., model training and inference), provides incentives for contributors supplying datasets and participating in AI workflows, and supports governance participation, including voting on protocol upgrades and ecosystem initiatives. The token has a total supply of 1 billion units, with approximately 215.5 million OPEN in circulation at the time of this publication.
