Overview
If you've recently made a withdrawal from your Wealthsimple account, you can check its status or cancel it directly through the Wealthsimple app or website. To provide clear context and ensure consistency, we now use the term "pending" for any transaction that hasn't reached a final state.
View the status of a pending withdrawal
Follow these steps to view the status of a pending withdrawal:
- Log in to the Wealthsimple app
- Tap the Activity tab (clock) at the bottom of the screen
- You can find your pending withdrawal in two ways:
- Tap Pending at the top of your Activity feed
- Scroll left on the quick actions at the top of the screen and tap Withdrawals
- Scroll left on the quick actions options at the top of the screen and tap the Withdrawals
- Select a withdrawal to view its Status and details
Cancel a pending withdrawal
Follow these steps to view or cancel a pending withdrawal:
- Log in to your Wealthsimple account
- Select Activity from the top menu
- Select Filters
- Select Apply
- Check Withdrawals from the Quick filters
- Choose a withdrawal to view its status and details
- Select Cancel
- Sign in to the Wealthsimple app on your mobile device
- Tap the Activity tab at the bottom of the screen
- Navigate to the Pending section at the top of your Activity feed or use Filters to select Withdrawals
- Select a withdrawal to view its status and details
- Tap Cancel
Frequently asked questions
I don't see an option to cancel my withdrawal. What do I do?
If you don't see the option to cancel your withdrawal, then you can't cancel it as the withdrawal is in process. In the event of an emergency, please reach out to our support team to see if there is anything we can do.
