If you filed your tax return using a different service or software, you can still use Wealthsimple Tax to submit adjustments through ReFILE. Here's how:
Before you begin
- Ensure you have a copy of your original tax return
- Gather any new or corrected information
Steps to ReFILE using Wealthsimple Tax
- Create a new tax profile in Wealthsimple Tax for the appropriate year
- Enter all information from your original return accurately
- Add the new or corrected information
- Review & optimize your profile and review the changes
- In the Submit section, click the Submit tax return button
Important notes
- ReFILE is available for recent tax years (current year and up to three previous years)
- Ensure all information matches your original return before adding changes
- Some complex situations may not be eligible for ReFILE
After submission
- You'll receive a new confirmation number for your ReFILE submission
- The CRA will process your adjustment and send a Notice of Reassessment
Common ReFILE errors
- TUD00010 or 602: The CRA doesn't accept these changes through ReFILE. Use your CRA My Account or submit a T1 Adjustment Request.
- TUD00013 or 603: Your return may not be assessed yet. Try again in a few days.
