In June of 2021, all US accounts that had not opted out of the transfer to Betterment were successfully moved. All US based Wealthsimple accounts have been shut down.
Clients can now access their new Betterment profile. To do so, please look for an email from the Betterment Team with the following subject "Claim your Betterment Account." If you are unable to locate this please contact the Betterment team at www.betterment.com/contact or by calling them at (718) 400-6898. Please see Betterment’s FAQs here for more details.
You can access your 2021 tax documents directly with our former custodian — Apex Clearing — following the steps outlined here. You will need one of your Apex accounts numbers, which we sent to you previously in an email with the subject “Important Information about your 2021 Tax Forms”.
