Frequently asked questions
Should my partner and I use the same Wealthsimple Tax account?
If you have a partner, the easiest and fastest way to prepare your returns is to use the same Wealthsimple Tax account and to link your returns. This means that only one of you needs to sign up for Tax to file together. Because of the way we encrypt your data, you aren’t able to link returns from different accounts.
Can more than one person use the same account?
Yes, you can have up to the NETFILE limit of 20 returns per account. In other words, you can prepare returns for up to 20 people using a single email address.
Can I open an account with Wealthsimple Tax if I previously used a different tax filing software?
Yes. However, we don’t currently offer the ability to import information from other tax filing software.
