Overview
If the CRA says it doesn't have your FHSA information after you've filed your tax return, there are a few things you can check before assuming something went wrong with your return.
Check your submitted return
In Wealthsimple Tax, check that your FHSA information was included in the return you submitted:
- Click Summary, scroll down to the Documents section, and check that Schedule 15 – FHSA Contributions, Transfers and Activities is included
- Check that you answered the FHSA question in the Other stuff we have to ask section
- Check that you added the FHSA Contributions & Income section to your tax profile and entered your T4FHSA slip, if you have one
If Schedule 15 or your FHSA information is missing from the return you submitted, you may need to change your return. To learn when Schedule 15 is required, see Understand Schedule 15 on your tax return.
Allow time for CRA records to update
The CRA's systems can take time to update after a return, slip, or change to a return is submitted. If your FHSA information is still missing after the CRA's processing time, contact the CRA or the financial institution that issued your T4FHSA slip.
Frequently asked questions
Who should I contact if my FHSA information is still missing?
It depends on what's missing:
- Information on your T4FHSA slip is missing or incorrect: Contact the financial institution that issued the slip.
- Your CRA records or participation room look wrong: Contact the CRA.
