Overview
You may need to upload a document to your profile for identity verification and account management, such as submitting a government-issued ID. If you're transferring an account to Wealthsimple and need to upload a statement, that happens directly within the transfer steps and is separate from this process.
Note: If you're transferring an account to Wealthsimple and were asked to upload a statement, don't use this page. The upload happens automatically within the transfer steps. See Transfer an account to Wealthsimple.
How to upload a document
Follow these steps to upload a document to your profile:
- Log in to your Wealthsimple profile
- Select the Profile menu in the bottom left corner
- Select Documents from the menu
- Select Add document
- Drag and drop your document, or browse to select it from your computer
- Select Upload
Note: You can only upload documents when signed into Wealthsimple in a browser.
