Overview
You can view your balance confirmation and contribution confirmation statements on the Wealthsimple website.
- Balance confirmation statements show end-of-day balances for your accounts on a specific date.
- Contribution confirmation statements show contributions to your registered accounts for a specific tax year.
- Holdings reports show your current holdings in a CSV file. This report is available for accounts that support holdings, like self-directed investing, managed portfolios, and crypto accounts.
Note: These statements aren't available on the mobile app.
Request a balance confirmation statement
Follow the steps below to request a balance confirmation statement:
- Log in to your Wealthsimple profile
- Select the Profile icon in the top right corner
- Select Documents from the menu
- Click Request documents in the top right corner
- Select Balance confirmation statement as the document type
- Choose an Effective date as your desired date
- Click Next
- Check the box for your desired account(s), or check the box next to All accounts
- Select Generate document
- Refresh the webpage to see the balance confirmation statement
- If the PDF doesn't populate, click Open on the right to view the PDF
Request a contribution confirmation statement
Follow the steps below to request a contribution confirmation statement:
- Log in to your Wealthsimple profile
- Select the Profile icon in the top right corner
- Select Documents from the menu
- Click Request documents in the top right corner
- Select Contribution confirmation statement as the document type
- Select your desired Tax year from the drop-down menu, and click Next
- Check the box for your desired account(s), or check the box next to All accounts
- Select Generate document
- Refresh the webpage to see the contribution confirmation statement
- If the PDF doesn't populate, click Open on the right to view the PDF
Request a holdings report
You can request a CSV file holdings report that includes fields of financial portfolio data, like account details, security information, position quantities, and various price/value metrics.
Follow these steps to request a holdings report:
- Log in to your Wealthsimple profile
- Select the Profile icon in the top right corner
- Select Documents from the menu
- Select Request documents in the top right corner
- Select Holdings report (CSV) as the document type
- Select Next
- Check each account to include in the report
- Select Download CSV
- View the CSV file in your downloaded files
