Setting up direct deposit into your Wealthsimple chequing account with Dayforce involves a few steps. These steps might vary slightly depending on your organization's setup. This guide provides general instructions to help you through the process.
Setting up direct deposit with Dayforce
- Log in: Log in to your Dayforce account.

Go to the direct deposit section:
- On the Dayforce home screen, select the menu button.
- Select Profile & Settings or Profile from the dropdown menu.
- Select Forms or Direct Deposit under the Payroll section.

Add a new bank account:
- Select Add Account or Add New.
- You'll be prompted to enter your Wealthsimple chequing account details. This typically includes:
- Account type: Chequing
- Institution number: 703
- Account number: 8 digits
- Bank name: Wealthsimple Investments Inc.
- Branch ID / transit bumber: 00001
- Routing number (if applicable: 070300001
- Set deposit amounts: Decide how to distribute your paycheque. You can deposit all of it into one account or split it between multiple accounts. Allocate the correct percentages or amounts to your new bank account.
- Review and confirm: Carefully review the information you've entered. Select Save or Submit to confirm your changes.
- Verification (if required): Some banks or employers might require you to verify the new account by confirming small test deposits. If so, follow the instructions provided to complete the verification process.
- Confirmation and notifications: You should receive a confirmation message indicating that your direct deposit information has been updated. You may also receive an email notification about the changes.
- Processing time: It may take one or two payroll cycles for the new direct deposit information to take effect. Check with your HR or payroll department if you need more specific information regarding the timing.
