Updating your external bank account's nickname can help you quickly identify the account you're moving money to or from. This is particularly helpful when you have multiple bank accounts with the same bank.
Follow these steps to update your bank account's nickname:
- Sign in to the Wealthsimple app on your mobile device
- From the Home tab, tap the Profile icon
- Tap the Settings (gear) icon
- Select Accounts from the menu
- Scroll down and tap Linked accounts
- Select a bank account
- Tap the Edit (pencil) icon
- Enter a nickname
- Tap Apply to save your changes
- Log in to your Wealthsimple account
- Select the Profile icon in the top right corner
- Select Settings from the menu
- Select Accounts from the options
- Select the Linked accounts tab
- Select the Edit (pencil) icon beside an account
- Enter a nickname
- Select Apply to save your changes
