The RL-31 slip is used when claiming the solidarity tax credit in Québec. Here's what you need to know:
How to claim the solidarity tax credit:
- Navigate to the Personal Information section in your profile
- Scroll down to the Revenu Québec section
- Answer "Yes" to the question "Will you claim the Solidarity Tax Credit?"
- This will add the Solidarity Tax Credit section to your profile
Entering your RL-31:
- Go to the newly added Solidarity Tax Credit section
- Enter your RL-31 information as prompted
Important notes:
- If you're not claiming the solidarity tax credit, you don't need to report RL-31 information
- Use the RL-31 slip for the address where you lived on December 31 of the tax year
If you haven't received your RL-31:
- Contact your landlord to request the slip
- If you still can't get the slip, contact Revenu Québec for assistance
Remember:
- Keep all your RL slips for your records
- Ensure you enter the information accurately to avoid delays in processing your return
