Overview
You can edit and update an employee profile at any time to ensure their information is accurate. It's important to update an employee profile before you start processing payroll, otherwise, your changes won't be applied to the pay period.
Edit an individual employee profile
To update a single employee's profile details, follow these steps:
- Log in to Wealthsimple on the web
- Select the Employees tab
- Type the name of the employee in the search bar on the left-hand side
- Select the employee's name to open their profile
- Select Edit to make changes to their profile
- Apply your changes and select Save
Bulk edit employee profiles
If you need to update multiple profiles at once—for example, to update salaries after a company-wide increase—you can use the bulk edit feature:
- Select the Employees tab
- Select Add employee(s)
- Select Multiple employees at once
- Select Download your employee list
- Make changes directly to the downloaded CSV file and save it as a new file
- Return to the dashboard and upload the new CSV file containing your modifications
- Select Upload CSV
