Overview
Plan administrators can make manual adjustments to employee or employer contribution amounts to account for one-time bonuses, partial pay cycles, or leaves of absence. This ensures that your payroll data remains accurate during special circumstances.
How to process one-time contributions
Follow these steps to enter one-time adjustments for an employee:
- Log in to Wealthsimple on the web
- Select the Payroll tab
- Select View on the upcoming payroll cycle, or select Create a one-off payroll
- Open the Review contributions section
- Search for the employee you wish to adjust
- Enter an amount in the Employee contribution and Employer contribution fields
- Select Save changes
Once all of the adjustments are complete, be sure to resubmit your contributions for the next pay cycle. This ensures normal processing of contributions for the next pay cycle.
Note: You can make changes up until the day before a contribution is scheduled. You can't make changes on the actual day of the contribution.
