You can transfer shares to your Wealthsimple account from another institution. In most cases, you should set up the transfer with Wealthsimple. This allows us to communicate with the other institution and have visibility into the transferred assets.

In some cases, you might have to provide the relinquishing institution with information to set up the transfer on their end.

After you submit the transfer

Once you have sent us the shares, please fill out this short form to give us more details. This will ensure that we accept the transfer on time and with the appropriate tax considerations. Once done, the shares will arrive within 10 business days.
