Note: Entries for this contest close on November 10, 2026 at 11:59:59 pm ET. If you make a winning spin, you’ll get an in-app notification right away.
Overview
Spin the gold coin in the Wealthsimple app once a day from November 6–10, 2026 for a chance to win a 1/10 oz gold coin this Diwali. The contest runs alongside Wealthsimple Monthly Millionaire November 2026 but is a separate contest with its own rules.
The prize
Up to 50 gold coins are available, with up to 10 available each day of the contest. Each prize is one 1/10 oz gold coin with an approximate retail value of $630.87 as of October 27, 2026. Winners aren’t drawn at random. Every 15,000th eligible spin during the contest wins, up to 10 winners per day.
How to enter
Be registered for the Wealthsimple Monthly Millionaire November 2026 contest. Open the Wealthsimple app and spin the gold coin at the bottom of your Home page. Your first spin each day counts, for up to five eligible spins during the contest.
Who’s eligible
You need a personal Wealthsimple account, Canadian residency, the age of majority in your province or territory, and registration in the Wealthsimple Monthly Millionaire November 2026 contest.
Frequently asked questions
Who’s eligible to enter?
To enter and be eligible to win, you must:
- Be a new or existing Wealthsimple client with a personal Wealthsimple account. Your account doesn’t need to be funded.
- Have all your Wealthsimple accounts in good standing when you spin and when the prize is awarded.
- Be registered for the Wealthsimple Monthly Millionaire November 2026 contest when you spin. You also can’t have opted out of that contest.
- Be a legal resident of Canada.
- Be the age of majority or older in your province or territory when you enter.
Employees, officers and directors of Wealthsimple and its partners and associate companies aren’t eligible. The same applies to their advertising and promotional agencies, contractors promoting the contest, their immediate family members and anyone they live with. You can win a maximum of one prize during the contest.
How is the winner chosen?
Winners are chosen by the order of spins, not by a random draw. Each eligible spin gets a number based on the order it’s recorded. The count runs across the whole contest and doesn’t restart each day. Every spin whose number is a multiple of 15,000 is a winning spin: the 15,000th, the 30,000th, and so on.
A maximum of 10 prizes can be awarded per day. Once 10 prizes have been awarded for a day, any other winning spins that day won’t win a prize. Unawarded prizes don’t carry over to the next day and won’t be awarded.
The app doesn’t show a running count of spins. Our systems are the official record for when each spin happens. Because of network or device delays, the time your spin is recorded may differ slightly from when you spun.
How and when will I be notified if I win?
If you make a winning spin, you’ll get an in-app notification right away saying you’re a potential winner. We’ll also try to email the address on your Wealthsimple account. This notification doesn’t confirm that you’ve won.
Next, we’ll complete a regulatory verification of your identity, eligibility and account information. We expect to finish this within about five business days after the day you spun, but timing may vary. Once you pass verification, we’ll email you instructions to claim your prize.
To claim, you’ll need to complete these steps by 11:59:59 pm ET on the fifth day after the claim email is sent:
- Sign and return the Winner Declaration and Release form.
- Correctly answer a time-limited math skill-testing question on your first attempt.
What happens if I don’t respond in time?
If you don’t finish the claim process within the claim period, you’ll be disqualified and the prize will be forfeited. The same applies if:
- A notification to you comes back undeliverable.
- You don’t pass the regulatory verification.
- You answer the skill-testing question incorrectly.
- You don’t open a personal Wealthsimple chequing account by the end of the claim period.
- You don’t collect your prize from the courier within two days.
Forfeited prizes aren’t awarded to anyone else.
How do I enter?
- Be registered for the Wealthsimple Monthly Millionaire November 2026 contest.
- Open and log in to the Wealthsimple app.
- On your Home page, spin the gold coin at the bottom of the screen.
- Come back on each day of the contest to spin again.
You can make one eligible spin per day, for a maximum of five spins from November 6–10, 2026. Each contest day runs from 12:00:00 am to 11:59:59 pm ET. Only your first spin each day counts, even if you spin again on another device.
Can Quebec residents enter?
Yes. Legal residents of Canada, including Quebec, can enter if they meet all the other eligibility requirements.
Do I need to make a purchase to enter or win?
No purchase is necessary. Your Wealthsimple account doesn’t need to be funded to enter.
To enter, you must be registered for the Wealthsimple Monthly Millionaire November 2026 contest when you spin.
To claim a prize, you’ll need a personal Wealthsimple chequing account, and there are no fees to open a Wealthsimple account.
Do I need a Wealthsimple chequing account to claim my prize?
Yes. If you win and don’t already have a personal Wealthsimple chequing account, you’ll need to open one before the claim period ends. A Wealthsimple Business chequing account doesn’t meet this requirement.
What exactly can I win?
Each prize is one 1/10 oz gold coin with an approximate retail value of $630.87 as of October 27, 2026. The value of gold changes, so your coin may be worth more or less when you receive it. You won’t receive the difference between the stated value and the actual value.
Prizes are physical gold coins only. You can’t exchange them for cash or deposit them into a Wealthsimple account. We may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
Your prize is supplied by Wealthsimple Investments Inc. and sent by a secure, insured courier within 60 days of completing your claim. It’s delivered only to the residential address on your Wealthsimple profile. You’ll need to sign for it and show ID. You’re responsible for any costs not covered by the contest rules, such as insurance or storage.
What counts as a qualifying spin?
A qualifying spin is your first spin of the day in the Wealthsimple app during the contest, made while you meet all eligibility requirements. Later spins on the same day don’t count toward winning spins.
Can I combine this with other promotions?
Each spin, including a winning spin, also earns you entries into the Wealthsimple Monthly Millionaire November 2026 contest under that contest’s rules. If you make a winning spin, the Monthly Millionaire entries may not show in the app right away, but they’ll still be added to your Entry Tally. Taking part in or winning one contest doesn’t affect your eligibility for the other.
Can I win more than once?
No. You can win a maximum of one prize during the contest.
If I win, what are the tax implications?
In Canada, contest winnings are generally not considered taxable income. That said, we recommend consulting a tax professional for advice specific to your situation.

The Contest is sponsored by Wealthsimple Technologies Inc. (“Wealthsimple”).
The Contest is being run in connection with the Wealthsimple Monthly Millionaire - November 2026 contest (the “Monthly Millionaire Contest”), but is a separate contest governed by these Contest Rules (as defined below). Official Rules and Regulations
CONTEST RULES
NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY
THE CONTEST IS INTENDED TO BE CONDUCTED ONLY IN CANADA AND SHALL BE CONSTRUED AND EVALUATED ACCORDING TO APPLICABLE CANADIAN LAW. VOID IN WHOLE OR IN PART WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. ENTRY IN THE CONTEST CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE CONTEST RULES (THE “CONTEST RULES”).
1. CONTEST PERIOD: The contest period will begin at 12:00:00am Eastern Time (“ET”) on November 6, 2026, and will end at 11:59:59pm ET on November 10, 2026 (the “Contest Period”), after which time the Contest will be closed and no further entries shall be accepted. Each calendar day during the Contest Period, beginning at 12:00:00am ET and ending at 11:59:59pm ET, is a “Contest Day”.
2. ELIGIBILITY: To enter and be eligible to win, the entrant must be:
- a new or existing Wealthsimple client who holds a personal Wealthsimple account (which is not required to be funded for the purposes of this Contest) (a “Wealthsimple User”), with all Wealthsimple accounts in good standing at the time of entry and at the time the Prize is awarded;
- registered (including by way of automatic registration) for the Monthly Millionaire Contest in accordance with the Monthly Millionaire Rules at the time of their Spin (as defined below), and not have completed the Opt-Out process described in the Monthly Millionaire Rules;
- a legal resident of Canada;
- the age of majority, or older, in your province/territory of residence at the time of entry; and
- meet the entry requirements set out below
(each an “Entrant”).
Employees, officers and directors of Wealthsimple and its partners and associate companies, and each of their advertising and promotional agencies and their respective affiliates and associates, independent contractors engaged by Wealthsimple to promote the Contest and such individuals’ immediate family members and persons with whom such individuals are domiciled, are not eligible to enter or participate in the Contest. For the purposes of the Contest Rules, “immediate family” refers to the spouse, dependent for federal income tax purposes, step-, biological, foster, in-law or adoptive parent, sibling or child of such an employee, agent and/or representative, or who is domiciled in the same household as any such person.
Wealthsimple shall have the right at any time to require proof of identity and/or eligibility to participate in the Contest. Failure to provide such proof may result in disqualification. All personal and other information requested by and supplied to Wealthsimple for the purpose of the Contest must be truthful, complete, accurate and in no way misleading. Wealthsimple reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify the Entrant, should the Entrant at any stage supply untruthful, incomplete, inaccurate or misleading personal details and/or information.
3. HOW TO ENTER: No purchase necessary. To participate in the Contest, eligible Entrants must open and log in to the Wealthsimple app and spin the gold coin displayed at the bottom of the Home page in the app during the Contest Period (each, a “Spin”). Limit of one (1) Spin per Entrant per Contest Day, for a maximum of five (5) Spins per Entrant during the Contest Period.
Only an Entrant’s first Spin on each Contest Day, as recorded by Wealthsimple’s systems, will be an eligible Spin for the purposes of this Contest. Any subsequent Spin made by the same Entrant on the same Contest Day, whether made from the same or a different device, will not be counted in the sequence used to determine Winning Spins and will not be eligible to win a Prize.
Winning Spins: Each eligible Spin made during the Contest Period will be assigned a sequential number by Wealthsimple’s systems based on the order in which it is recorded. The count runs continuously across the entire Contest Period and does not restart at the beginning of each Contest Day.
Each Spin whose sequential number is a multiple of 15,000 (i.e. the 15,000th, 30,000th, 45,000th Spin, and so on) (each, a “Winning Spin”) will be eligible to win one (1) Prize (as defined below), subject to a maximum of ten (10) Prizes awarded per Contest Day. By way of example, if 148,000 eligible Spins have been made by the end of the first Contest Day, the 2,000th eligible Spin made on the second Contest Day will be the 150,000th eligible Spin made during the Contest Period and will be a Winning Spin.
Only eligible Spins made by eligible Entrants will be counted for the purposes of determining a Winning Spin.
Once ten (10) Prizes have been awarded in respect of Winning Spins made on a Contest Day, any further Winning Spins made on that Contest Day will not be eligible to win a Prize. A Prize that is not awarded for any reason, including because the daily maximum has been reached or because the Winning Spin is made by an Entrant who is not eligible to win a Prize, will not carry over to any subsequent Contest Day, will not be awarded to any other Entrant and will not be awarded at all.
Wealthsimple’s systems are the official timekeeping and recording device for the Contest, and Wealthsimple’s records of the timing and order of Spins are final and binding for all purposes. Due to network latency, device settings and other factors, the time at which a Spin is recorded by Wealthsimple’s systems may differ from the time at which the Entrant initiated the Spin. No counter or running tally of Spins made by other Entrants will be displayed in the Wealthsimple app.
Monthly Millionaire Entries:
Each Spin made during the Contest Period, including a Winning Spin, will also earn entries into the Monthly Millionaire Contest in accordance with the Spin the Coin entry method set out in the Monthly Millionaire Rules. Where a Spin is a Winning Spin, the number of Monthly Millionaire Contest entries earned for that Spin may not be displayed in the Wealthsimple app at the time of the Spin, but will be credited to the Entrant’s Entry Tally (as defined in the Monthly Millionaire Rules).
Entries into the Monthly Millionaire Contest are not entries into this Contest and are not considered in determining Winning Spins. Participating in this Contest, or being selected as a potential Winner of or winning a Prize in this Contest, does not affect an Entrant’s eligibility to participate in or win a prize in the Monthly Millionaire Contest, and vice versa.
4. PRIZES: Up to fifty (50) prizes available to be won in Canada during the Contest Period, with up to ten (10) prizes available to be won on each Contest Day, each consisting of one (1) 1/10 oz gold coin (each, a “Prize”). The approximate retail value of a Prize is CAD$630.87, as of October 27, 2026.
The market value of gold fluctuates. The actual value of a Prize at the time it is awarded or delivered, or at any time thereafter, may be higher or lower than the approximate retail value stated above. No difference between the stated approximate retail value and the actual value of a Prize will be awarded. Wealthsimple makes no representation or warranty regarding the current or future value of any Prize. Prizes will be awarded as physical gold products only and cannot be exchanged for cash or deposited into any Wealthsimple account.
The Prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, non-refundable, has no cash-surrender value, and must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions. Wealthsimple reserves the right, for any reason and in its sole discretion, to substitute and/or modify the Prize with another prize that is of equal or greater value. The Winner is solely responsible for any costs or expenses related to their Prize not expressly set out in these Contest Rules, including, but not limited to, any insurance, storage fees or applicable taxes. The Prize will be sent to the selected Entrant(s) that satisfied the requirements of this Contest (each a “Winner”) in accordance with the Prize Delivery provisions below.
Prizes are supplied by Wealthsimple Investments Inc. (“WSII”), an affiliate of Wealthsimple, as prize supplier and delivered by a secure, insured third-party courier engaged by WSII. Title to each Prize will pass directly from WSII to the applicable Winner upon delivery. WSII is not a sponsor or administrator of the Contest. Wealthsimple remains responsible for the administration of the Contest, including the identification of Winning Spins and the determination of Prize eligibility.
5. ODDS: The odds of making a Winning Spin are dependent upon the total number of eligible Spins made during the Contest Period and the timing of an Entrant’s Spin relative to the Spins of other Entrants. Maximum of one (1) Prize per Entrant during the Contest Period.
6. WINNER NOTIFICATION: An Entrant who makes a Winning Spin will be notified that they are a potential Winner of a 1/10 oz gold coin via an in-app notification immediately following the Winning Spin, and Wealthsimple, acting reasonably, will also attempt to contact the potential Winner via e-mail at the address associated with their Wealthsimple account (together, the “Potential Winner Notification”).
A Potential Winner Notification does not constitute confirmation that the Entrant has won a Prize. Following the Potential Winner Notification, each potential Winner will be subject to the Regulatory Verification (as described below). Wealthsimple expects to complete the Regulatory Verification in batches within approximately five (5) business days following the applicable Contest Day, however timing may vary.
Once a potential Winner has satisfied the Regulatory Verification, Wealthsimple, acting reasonably, will send the potential Winner an e-mail with instructions to complete the claim process (the “Claim Notification”). The selected Entrant must complete all steps outlined in the Claim Notification including the completion of a Winner Declaration and Release form (the “Declaration”) and the skill-testing question described below, by no later than 11:59:59pm ET on the fifth (5th) day following the date the Claim Notification is sent (the “Claim Period”). In the event a potential Winner does not complete the claim process within the Claim Period, or there is a return of any notification as undeliverable, or the potential Winner otherwise does not meet the eligibility or Contest requirements, they will be disqualified and the applicable Prize will be forfeited and will not be awarded. Wealthsimple is under no obligation to re-award any forfeited Prize. Wealthsimple is not responsible for the failure for any reason whatsoever of a selected Entrant to receive notification or for Wealthsimple to receive a selected Entrant’s response.
For the avoidance of doubt, any in-app notification, e-mail or other communication issued by Wealthsimple in connection with the Contest does not constitute a guarantee of Prize entitlement. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the contents of any such communication and Wealthsimple’s internal records, Wealthsimple’s internal records shall govern and be treated as final and binding for all purposes. Wealthsimple reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to correct any erroneous communications and to award Prizes in accordance with its internal records, notwithstanding any prior communication to the contrary.
Prize Delivery:
Prizes will be distributed by WSII to the respective Winners via a secure, insured courier within sixty (60) days of the Winner successfully completing the claim process described above, provided that such Winner satisfies all requirements of the Contest.
Prizes will only be delivered to the residential address listed on each Winner’s Wealthsimple profile. The Winner must be available at the time of delivery (or for missed deliveries, collection) to sign for their Prize and show adequate identification. If any Winner fails to collect their Prize within two (2) days from the courier, such Winner may be disqualified and such Prize will be forfeited and not awarded.
Regulatory Verification: As a condition of being declared a Winner and receiving a Prize, each potential Winner must satisfy the regulatory verification requirements applicable to Wealthsimple, WSII and their affiliates. These may include verifying the potential Winner’s identity, eligibility and account information, and any other review that Wealthsimple or its affiliates are required or permitted to conduct under applicable law or their internal policies (the “Regulatory Verification”). Potential Winners must provide any information or documentation requested in connection with the Regulatory Verification within the timeframe specified by Wealthsimple. A potential Winner who does not satisfy the Regulatory Verification, or who fails to provide requested information or documentation within the specified timeframe, will be disqualified and the applicable Prize will be forfeited in accordance with these Contest Rules. Wealthsimple’s determination as to whether the Regulatory Verification has been satisfied is final, and Wealthsimple is not required to provide reasons for any such determination.
In order to claim the Prize, the Winner must have a personal Wealthsimple Chequing account. If, at the time of the Winner Notification, a Winner does not have a personal Wealthsimple Chequing account, they will be required to open one within the Claim Period as a condition of receiving the Prize. There are no fees associated with the creation of a Wealthsimple account. A potential Winner who fails to open a personal Wealthsimple Chequing account by the end of the Claim Period will forfeit their Prize. For greater certainty, a Wealthsimple business chequing account does not satisfy this requirement.
7. SKILL TESTING QUESTION: Before being declared a Winner of any Prize, the potential Winner shall be required to correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question (administered as part of the claim process), to sign and return the Declaration within the Claim Period and to satisfy the Regulatory Verification described in Rule 6. For the avoidance of doubt, a potential Winner who fails to answer the skill-testing question correctly on the first attempt shall be disqualified and shall forfeit any entitlement to a Prize.
8. RELEASE: By entering the Contest, the Entrant agrees to release and to hold Wealthsimple and its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, related and associated entities, employees, directors, officers, suppliers, agents, sponsors and administrators (the “Releasees”) harmless from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to the Entrant or any other person, including personal injury, death, or property damage, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any Prize, participation in the Contest, any breach of the Contest Rules, or in any Prize-related activity. The Entrant agrees to fully indemnify Wealthsimple, and the Releasees from any and all claims by third parties relating to the Contest, without limitation.
Wealthsimple assumes no responsibility or liability for lost, late, unintelligible/illegible, falsified, damaged, misdirected or incomplete entries, notifications, responses, replies or any release, or for any computer, online, software, telephone, hardware or technical malfunctions that may occur, including but not limited to malfunctions that may affect the transmission or non-transmission of an entry. Wealthsimple is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest or by any technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Contest. Wealthsimple assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Wealthsimple is not responsible for any problems, failures or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, providers, computer equipment, software, e-mail, players, applications or browsers, on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, at any website or application, or on account of any combination of the foregoing or otherwise. Wealthsimple is not responsible for any injury or damage to the Entrant or to any computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in the Contest. The entrant assumes liability for injuries caused or claimed to be caused by participating in the Contest, or by the acceptance, possession of, use of, or failure to receive any Prize. Wealthsimple assumes no responsibility or liability in the event that the Contest cannot be conducted as planned for any reason, including those reasons beyond the control of Wealthsimple, such as infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or corruption of the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, the Contest website(s) and/or the Contest application(s). Wealthsimple assumes no responsibility for entries which fail to comply with the Contest Rules. Wealthsimple assumes no responsibility for any failure of Wealthsimple’s website or application during the Contest Period, including any problems or technical malfunctions of any computer on-line systems, servers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail, notification or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, any website, any application, or any combination thereon.
Wealthsimple reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate the Contest, in whole or in part, and/or modify, amend or suspend the Contest, and/or the Contest Rules in any way, at any time, for any reason without prior notice.
9. PUBLICITY: Unless prohibited by law, the Winner agrees that by accepting a Prize, Wealthsimple may use the Winner’s name, likeness, voice, photo, video, city of residence, biographical information, prize information and/or statements about this Contest for publicity purposes related to this Contest in any media or format whether now known or hereafter developed, including but not limited to the World Wide Web, at any time or times in perpetuity, without further compensation or notice and hereby releases Wealthsimple from any liability with respect thereto. Winner may be required to sign a document to this effect.
10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY: All intellectual property, including but not limited to trade-marks, trade-names, logos, designs, promotional materials, web pages, source codes, drawings, illustrations, slogans and representations used in connection with the Contest are the property of Wealthsimple and/or its affiliates. All rights are reserved. Unauthorized copying or use of any copyrighted material or intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
11. COLLECTION OF INFORMATION:
By entering the Contest, the Entrant understands and agrees that Wealthsimple will collect, use and disclose their personal information for the purposes of administering the Contest (including conducting the Regulatory Verification and, if applicable, providing such information to Prize suppliers, including WSII and its courier, solely to the extent necessary to verify the Winner’s identity and fulfil the delivery of a Prize) and, in anonymized or aggregated form, to analyze and improve Wealthsimple’s product and service offerings, as well as in accordance with the Privacy Policy as applicable to their Wealthsimple account. Wealthsimple’s Privacy Policy is available here. Any questions regarding Wealthsimple’s Privacy Policy or the treatment of your personal information should be directed to Wealthsimple’s Chief Privacy Officer at privacy@wealthsimple.com or 400-80 Spadina Avenue, Toronto, ON, M5V 2J4.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, by entering the Contest, Entrants consent to Wealthsimple collection and use of their personal information, including their email address, for the purposes of better understanding Entrants' interests and preferences, and to send commercial electronic messages (including emails, SMS text message and other communications) to the Entrant for the purpose of marketing, promoting and offering Wealthsimple products, services or events, as well as products, services or events of Wealthsimple’s affiliates. For clarity, the collection and use of Entrants' personal information described above is in furtherance of the Contest's broader purpose of enabling Wealthsimple to better understand its customers and their preferences. Entrants may withdraw this marketing consent at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions contained in each commercial electronic message or by contacting Wealthsimple. This consent for marketing communications is separate from the consent required to administer the Contest, and Entrants may enter the Contest without providing this marketing consent.
12. OTHER CONDITIONS AND TAMPERING:
By participating in the Contest, the Entrant agrees to be bound by the Contest Rules. The Entrant further agrees to be bound by the decisions of Wealthsimple, which shall be final and binding in all respects. All entries become the property of Wealthsimple and will not be returned and no correspondence will be made with or entered into except with selected entrant(s) or as otherwise described in these Contest Rules.
All entries are subject to verification and winning a prize is contingent on fulfilling all the requirements set forth in the Contest Rules. Mass entries, automated entries, entries submitted by third parties, and any entries or prize claims that are late, incomplete, fraudulent, illegible, unidentified or delayed will be void.
To be declared a Winner or receive a Prize, an Entrant must not have engaged, and must not engage, in conduct that is unlawful, fraudulent, violent, threatening, harassing, discriminatory or hateful, and that brings, or is reasonably likely to bring, Wealthsimple, the Contest or any Prize-related activity into public disrepute, contempt, scandal or ridicule, or otherwise materially damages the reputation, goodwill or business interests of Wealthsimple. As a condition of being declared a winner and receiving a Prize, a selected entrant must continue to satisfy all eligibility requirements set out in these Contest Rules, including this rule. If Wealthsimple determines, acting reasonably and in good faith and on the basis of documented or publicly verifiable information, that an Entrant does not satisfy this requirement, Wealthsimple may, in its sole discretion:
1. disqualify the Entrant and void any or all of their entries;
2. determine that the Entrant is ineligible to be declared a Winner;
3. withhold, revoke or cancel any Prize that has not yet been fully awarded; and
4. select an alternate Winner in accordance with these Contest Rules,
in each case without substitution, compensation or further liability to the Entrant.
By participating in the Contest, each entrant agrees that the Releasees have not made, with respect to each of their own products/services provided as a prize or part thereof (if applicable), any warranty, representation or guarantee express or implied, in fact or in law, with respect to the prize and specifically disclaim all such warranties, including without limitation, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Wealthsimple reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any Entrant found to be:
- violating the Contest Rules;
- tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest, the Contest website, the Contest application or any related promotional website or application, including by attempting to manipulate the timing or order of Spins or coordinating with others to do so;
- using any automated, script, macro, robotic or other program(s) to enter or otherwise participate in the Contest; or
- acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE CONTEST WEBSITE, THE CONTEST APPLICATION OR OTHERWISE UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, WEALTHSIMPLE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.
The Contest is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. The Contest Rules are subject to change without notice in order to comply with any applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws or the policy of any other entity having jurisdiction over Wealthsimple.
Not applicable to residents of Quebec: To the extent permitted by applicable law, all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the Contest Rules or the rights and obligations as between the entrant and Wealthsimple in connection with the Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the province of Ontario including procedural provisions without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other jurisdiction’s laws. Invalidity or unenforceability of any provisions, in part or in full of these Contest Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability for the remainder of the rules. The Contest Rules shall be interpreted as if the invalid or unenforceable provisions were not included, should such provisions exist.
In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of the Contest Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest related materials, including but not limited to the Contest entry form, or point of sale, television, print or online advertising, or from communications from Wealthsimple representatives or employees, and/or between the English and French language version of these Contest Rules, the terms and conditions of the English language version Contest Rules shall prevail, govern and control, unless otherwise prohibited by applicable law.
The total number of prizes available to be won in the Contest is limited to the number expressly stated in these Contest Rules. In the event that, due to an error relating to the entry process, verification, drawing or any other aspect of the Contest, there are more eligible prize claimants than prizes available, Wealthsimple reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to conduct a random draw among all eligible prize claimants in order to award the correct number of prizes.
Wealthsimple further reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to administer an alternate test of skill as it deems appropriate or necessary to comply with applicable law.
Wealthsimple reserves the right to correct any typographical, printing, computer programming or operator errors. Wealthsimple's failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. Should a winner make any false statement(s) in any document referenced above, the winner may be required to promptly return to Wealthsimple his/her prize, or the cash value thereof.
In the event of a dispute as to the identity of the person who submitted any entry, the authorized account holder of the email submitted at registration will be deemed to be the entrant. The "authorized account holder" is the natural person assigned an email by an e-mail address provider, service provider, or other person or organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses. The potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder.
