What's a Cash handle?
Your Cash handle ($handle) is a unique handle for your Cash account with Wealthsimple. Other Cash users can search for you using your handle or your phone number.
Cash handle requirements
- Your handle may not mislead or deceive others as to your identity or create an undue risk of chargebacks or mistaken payments
- You cannot use trademarked names in your handle
- You cannot use inappropriate or offensive content in your handle
- Handles are subject to availability and Wealthsimple reserves the right to change your handle at its discretion at any time. We may reclaim or make unavailable handles without liability to you.
Set up your Cash handle
To set up your Cash handle, follow these steps:
- Log in to your Wealthsimple mobile app
- Tap the Home tab at the bottom of your screen
- Select your Cash account
- Select Send or request
- Tap Send money and select Wealthsimple Cash to set up your Cash handle
Note: We currently support up to 3 handle changes in your account. If you’d like to update your Cash handle, please reach out to our support team and let them know your new handle. Keep in mind that your [your handle]@wealthsimple.me email to receive INTERAC® e-Transfer transactions will also be updated.
View your Cash handle
To view your Cash handle ($handle):
- Log in to your Wealthsimple mobile app
- Tap the Profile icon at the top of your screen
- Tap the gear icon in the top right corner
- Select Personal information
- Find your $handle under your name at the top of the screen
