Overview
Your handle ($handle) is a unique handle for your Wealthsimple chequing account. Other Wealthsimple chequing account owners can search for you using your handle or your phone number.
Handle requirements
- Your handle may not mislead or deceive others as to your identity or create an undue risk of chargebacks or mistaken payments
- You can't use trademarked names in your handle
- You can't use inappropriate or offensive content in your handle
- Handles are subject to availability, and Wealthsimple reserves the right to change your handle at its discretion at any time. We may reclaim or make handles unavailable without liability to you.
Set up your handle
To set up your handle, follow these steps:
- Log in to your Wealthsimple mobile app
- Tap the Home tab at the bottom of your screen
- Select your Chequing account
- Select Send
- Choose Wealthsimple to set up your handle
Change your handle
We currently support up to 3 handle changes in your account. If you’d like to update your handle, please contact our support team. You can't reverse this change or reclaim a previously used handle.
Keep in mind that your [your handle]@wealthsimple.me email to receive INTERAC e-Transfer® transactions will also be updated.
View your handle
To view your handle ($handle):
- Log in to your Wealthsimple mobile app
- Tap the Profile icon at the top of your screen
- Tap the Settings (gear) icon in the top right corner
- Select Personal information
- Find your $handle under your name at the top of the screen
