Fees for using the Wealthsimple prepaid Mastercard
Wealthsimple doesn't charge fees for using the prepaid Mastercard, including foreign transaction fees.
However, third parties might charge the following:
- Currency conversion rate: When you use your prepaid Mastercard for international purchases, the payment network will determine the currency conversion rate. This rate may vary between the time of authorization and settlement. For an estimate, you can use this currency conversion fee calculator.
- ATM withdrawal fee: ATM providers might charge a withdrawal fee (usually about $3.00). This fee is charged by the ATM provider and not by Wealthsimple. You'll be reimbursed for eligible ATM transactions. Learn more about our ATM fee reimbursement policy.
