You can make better trading decisions and gain deeper insights with advanced trading charts on Wealthsimple, powered by TradingView. Advanced trading charts on Wealthsimple allow you to

  • access candlestick and line charts, and
  • analyze market data across different timeframes.

How to view advanced trading charts

Note: Advanced charts aren't available for Crypto and Options at this time. Over-the-counter security data may be delayed on advanced charts depending on the security you're viewing

Advanced trading charts are only available on the Wealthsimple desktop website.

To view advanced trading charts:

  1. Log in to your Wealthsimple profile
  2. In the Search field in the top-right corner, type in the name of a stock or ETF
  3. Select the stock or ETF from the list
  4. Select Advanced chart in the top-right corner of the performance chart
  5. The advanced chart will populate
Tip: To compare multiple securities, open multiple Wealthsimple tabs. You can't view multiple securities on a single page at this time.

Change the chart style

Select the style toggle under the chart to select Baseline or Candles view.

Choose a timeframe

To change the length of time you're viewing, use the buttons on the bottom of the chart to select a specific timeframe.

To change the data granularity, scroll up on the chart to increase granularity and scroll down to decrease it.

Select an indicator

If you'd like to superimpose an indicator such as Volume, Relative Strength Index, or 5 Day Moving Average on the chart, select Indicators on the top-left of the chart and then check or uncheck your desired indicators.
