Update your password
If you forgot your password and can’t sign in to Wealthsimple, you can request a password reset email. You'll need to log out of your account before you can reset your password.
To update your password, follow these steps:
- Open the Wealthsimple app on your mobile device
- Navigate to the login screen by selecting I have a Wealthsimple login
- At the bottom of the login screen, choose Forgot password?
- Enter the email associated with your Wealthsimple account in the email address box and select Continue
- We’ll send an email to your email address with instructions for resetting your password.
- Log in to your Wealthsimple profile
- Under the password field, select Forgot password?
- Enter the email associated with your Wealthsimple account in the email address box and select Continue
- We’ll send an email to your email address with instructions for resetting your password
Note: You must wait 24 hours before you can send an e-Transfer or make a crypto transfer after you change your password.
Update your quick access method
Wealthsimple's quick access methods let you log into your account through our app without writing your email address and password each time. You can update your quick access method through your Wealthsimple mobile app by following the steps below:
- Sign in to the Wealthsimple app on your mobile device
- Tap the Profile icon in the top right corner
- Tap the Settings (gear) icon in the top right corner
- Choose the Login and security menu item
- Select Quick access method and choose the method of your choice
Note: If you wish to update your 4-digit passcode, you can do so by toggling the quick access method to None, and then back to Passcode. This will prompt you to enter a new passcode.
