Overview
You can create a Wealthsimple household to view your total combined household assets with your partner in the Wealthsimple app.

Household members visibility
Household members can only see the total combined assets across both Wealthsimlple profiles. Household members can't access each other's accounts, account balances, or account activities.
Household limit and eligibility
You can create a 2 person household in the Wealthsimple app.
To create a household, both members must
- have a Wealthsimple profile, and
- share the same residential address.
If your partner doesn't have a profile yet, they will need to create a profile before you can invite them to your household.
If you or your partner needs to update your residential address, please follow these steps.
How to create a household
Follow the steps below to invite your partner to your household:
- Sign in to the Wealthsimple app on your mobile device
- From the Home tab, tap the Profile icon in the top-right corner
- Tap the Settings (gear) icon in the top right corner
- Choose Household from the options
- Tap Invite your partner
- Enter your partner's First name and Email address
Note: You must use the email linked to their Wealthsimple account. - Tap Send invite
Your partner will receive an email and push notification notifying them that you invited them to your Wealthsimple household. They must accept the invite before you can view your Wealthsimple household.
View your consolidated household assets
The Household view is only available on the Wealthsimple mobile app.
Follow the steps below to view your consolidated assets:
- Sign in to the Wealthsimple app on your mobile device
- From the Home tab, tap the Profile icon in the top-right corner
- Tap View household
- View your combined household assets, client status, and explore your benefits
- Log in to your Wealthsimple account
- Select the profile button in the top right corner
- Choose Profile from the menu

Opt-out of sharing household assets
If you don't want to share information about your assets with your household member, you can turn on privacy mode to remove household asset visibility.
Follow the steps below to change your privacy settings:
- Sign in to the Wealthsimple app on your mobile device
- From the Home tab, tap the Profile icon in the top right corner
- Tap the Settings (gear) icon in the top right corner
- Choose Household from the options
- Use the Privacy mode toggle to remove household asset visibility

Can anyone create a Wealthsimple household?
You must meet the eligibility criteria to create a household. Review the eligibility criteria.
Why didn't my partner get the email invite to join my household?
Either they're checking the wrong email, or they should check their junk or spam folders.
I'm receiving an address mismatch error. How do I verify that my address is correct?
You or your partner can view and update your address details on the Wealthsimple app or our website from the Profile section. Follow these steps to update your personal information and settings.
Can I invite more than one person to join my household?
No. You can only have 2 people in a household.
