Willful provides online wills for Canadians. When you claim Willful as a reward, you’ll get access to Willful's Premium Coverage plan, which includes:
- one personalized legal will,
- unlimited updates,
- a free Canada will registry code (a $40 value),
- one power of attorney for health,
- one power of attorney for property, and
- one asset list document.

Claim your will
Here’s how to claim your Willful legal will:
- Sign in to the Wealthsimple mobile app
- Tap your Profile icon in the top right corner
- Tap your Willful reward
- Tap the activate link to create your Willful account
- Select the Premium Coverage plan
- Your credit will be applied at checkout
- Complete your will and register it for free with the Canada Will Registry

Can the 20% Wealthsimple discount and free will be applied together?
This offer cannot be combined with any other promotional offer from Willful.
What is meant by "Restrictions apply" for the provinces of New Brunswick (NB), Prince Edward Island (PEI), Newfoundland (NL), and Quebec (QC)?
While the Premium Coverage Plan isn't available in these provinces, you can still have access to Willful. The promotion code allows you to have the most valuable plan that's available in your province (for example, a "will" in QC, and a "Legal Essentials" plan in NL, PEI, and NB).

What if we want a Family will or a Couples plan?
When you claim Willful as a reward, you'll get access to Willful's Premium Coverage plan. To upgrade to Willful's Premium x 2 plan, select Premium x 2 in the plan selection and pay the $140 difference when you check out, or upgrade your plan from your account settings. The Premium x 2 plan includes a will and power of attorney documents for two adults. This allows each spouse to create their own account and their own documents.
Would guidance be available in creating my will?
Willful provides in-app guidance through a guided questionnaire that combines your answers with templated clauses from legal advisors to generate your will. If you have any questions along the way, Willful's dedicated support team of estate planning experts can be reached via email, live chat, or by requesting a phone call. It's important to keep in mind that Willful is not a law firm, and they are not able to provide legal advice. When using Willful, you are effectively creating your own documents.
If I stop using Willful, will my will disappear?
The signed copy of your will is what's legally valid. As long as you keep that signed document, deleting your Willful account would not affect the validity of your will. It is your responsibility to store it and keep it safe. There is no subscription fee or recurring costs with Willful. Your account provides the benefit of unlimited free edits to your will. Maintaining your account gives you easy access for updates and future peace of mind.
If I activate it now, do I have to complete it in one go, or can I stop and continue at a later date?
You can work on your will at your own pace — everything is saved to your account, so you can easily pick up where you left off. Plus, with Willful, updates to your will are free for life.
What happens if I create a Willful account, but don't create a will within 1 year?
Your Willful credit never expires- it will stay active in your account even after the first year. You're free to create your legal documents whenever it feels right for you. If you don't see your discount applied when you're ready to get started, please reach out to the Willful team at support@willful.co.
How do I claim Willful if I already have a Willful account?
If you already have a Willful account, select the Log in button at the top right corner of the Wealthsimple x Willful milestone reward redemption page to ensure the Premium Coverage plan reward is correctly applied at checkout. If you encounter any issues, please reach out to support@willful.co, and the team will manually apply the reward.
