As an authorized representative, you can use Auto-fill my return to populate tax information for someone else in Wealthsimple Tax. Here's how:
Before you begin
Ensure you:
- Have a RepID from the CRA's Represent a Client portal
- Are authorized by the individual in their CRA My Account
- Have access to the individual's Wealthsimple Tax profile
Steps to auto-fill as a representative
- Log in to the individual's Wealthsimple Tax profile
- Select the Auto-fill my return option
- On the CRA sign-in page, enter your own CRA login information (not the individual's)
- Verify that the correct SIN (the individual's, not yours) is displayed for auto-fill
- Proceed with the auto-fill process
Important notes
- You must use your own CRA credentials when auto-filling
- The SIN displayed should be that of the person whose return you're preparing
- You can auto-fill for the current tax year plus the previous six years

If you encounter issues:
- Verify your authorization status in CRA My Account
- Ensure you're using the correct Wealthsimple Tax profile
- Double-check that you're using your own CRA login
