Adding information to your Tax profile in Wealthsimple Tax is simple. Follow these steps:
- Open your tax return in Wealthsimple Tax
- Click Add tax forms in the left-hand navigation menu
- Locate the search box within this section (visual example below)
- Type what you're looking for in the search box. You can enter:
- Names of tax slips (e.g., T4, T5)
- Deductions (e.g., RRSP contributions)
- Form numbers
- Keywords related to your item
- As you type, the list of possible matches will update automatically
- When you see the item you want, either:
- Click on it with your mouse, or
- Use the up/down arrow keys to highlight it and press Enter
The selected item will now be added to your tax return, and you can enter the relevant information.
Tip: If you can't find what you're looking for, try using different keywords or the official name of the slip or deduction.
