Overview
Stats Room is your home for stats in the Wealthsimple app. It brings together wealth rank, portfolio pulse, and streaks in one place, so you can track your progress and, if you'd like, see how you compare to other clients.
Access Stats Room
- Log in to the Wealthsimple app (version 2.231.0 or higher)
- Tap the Profile (person) icon in the top-right corner
- Tap View all stats
- Select Wealth rank, Portfolio pulse, or Streaks
Wealth rank
Wealth rank shows how your assets at Wealthsimple compare to other clients in your age group. It's based on the total Canadian dollar value of what you hold with us. We compare you to clients in your age group who have at least $500 in assets. If you're in the top 1%, we'll show your specific rank.
To see it, you'll need at least $5,000 in total assets with Wealthsimple.
Where to find it: Tap the Profile (person) icon. Your wealth rank appears below your savings summary, or inside Stats Room if you're part of that group.
Filtered views
TFSA rank now lives inside wealth rank as a filter, showing how your TFSA deposits compare to others in your birth year. No separate steps needed if you already meet the wealth rank criteria above.
Portfolio pulse
Portfolio pulse is one way we're making investing more transparent. See how your portfolio compares to other Wealthsimple clients, learn what's working for them, and build your own portfolio in a more disciplined, diversified way.
Browse holdings, weightings, and performance anonymously. No names, no profiles. Just holdings, shared by choice.
To use it:
- Opt in by tapping Agree. Your holdings join the anonymous feed, and you unlock the community feed.
How it works:
- You can't view others' portfolios without sharing your own.
- You can sort by net worth or performance and filter by time range.
- You're given a random username (like "Rally Raccoon") that can't be changed.
- Snapshots update daily, with up to a one-day delay.
- Includes stocks, ETFs, managed portfolios, direct indexing, private equity, and more. Cash shows in CAD or USD.
To opt out: Go to Stats Room, tap the Settings icon, then toggle off Participate in portfolio pulse. Your portfolio leaves the feed right away.
Privacy: Your username is random and isn't linked to your profile, so other clients can't identify you.
Streaks
Streaks shows deposit activity (totals, monthly streaks, averages, and a breakdown by account type) plus app visit activity.
Frequently asked questions
Why can't I access Stats Room?
Stats Room is rolling out to all clients in phases, so not everyone has it yet. If you don't see it, that isn't an error. More clients will get access over time.
Is my information private?
Yes. No other Wealthsimple clients can see your balance or your specific wealth rank. In portfolio pulse, your portfolio is shown under a randomly assigned username, never your real name or personal information.
How is my wealth rank calculated?
We look at how much you've saved and invested with us and compare it to other clients in your age group, such as ages 25 to 29. It's a simple way to see how you're doing compared to people at a similar stage in life.
Are my joint and spousal accounts included in the wealth rank calculation?
For now, assets in joint and spousal Wealthsimple accounts count toward the primary account holder's wealth rank.
How do I improve my wealth rank?
Your rank is a snapshot of where you are today. It can change as your portfolio grows or if you add more funds to your accounts. You may see suggestions in the app like Add money, Transfer an account, or Direct deposit your pay to help you grow your balance.
I hid my wealth rank by accident. Can I get it back?
To respect your choice, hiding this feature is permanent. That's why we include a confirmation step: to make sure you really want to hide it before you do.
I don't see the wealth rank card on my profile. What now?
First, make sure your app is updated to the latest version. If you still can't access the feature and would like it re-enabled, please contact our support team.
