Overview
You can instantly lock or unlock your Wealthsimple Visa Infinite* Credit Card using the Wealthsimple app. Locking your card prevents unauthorized transactions if it's misplaced, and you can unlock it anytime if you find it.
If you notice any fraudulent transactions on your account, contact our Client Success team immediately.
Note: We’re releasing limited quantities of cards over the coming months. Once you join the waitlist in the app, we’ll send you a notification when cards are available, and you can apply. Make sure you have push notifications turned on in your settings to get the notification.
Lock your credit card
Follow these steps to lock your credit card:
- Open the Wealthsimple app on your mobile device
- Select your credit card account
- Tap Manage card on the credit card
- Tap Lock card
- Confirm that you want to lock your card
Unlock your credit card
If you find your card, you can unlock it at any time in the app.
Follow these steps to unlock your credit card:
- Open the Wealthsimple app on your mobile device
- Select your credit card account
- Tap Manage card
- Tap Unlock card
- Confirm that you want to unlock your card
Report a lost or stolen card
If you believe your credit card has been lost or stolen, report it immediately to help protect your account. For steps to report a lost or stolen card, see Replace a lost or stolen credit card.
Note: Once you report your card as lost or stolen, we must reissue a new card for you. Because of this, you can't unlock your current card if you find it again.
