You might not be able to withdraw funds from your Wealthsimple account if there is an issue with your linked bank account. The most common issues – and tips for resolving them – are below.
- The linked bank account is closed
If you can’t add funds to a linked bank account, try withdrawing to a different bank account.
- The linked bank account is frozen
If the bank account is frozen, contact your financial institution and ask them to remove the freeze.
- The linked bank account’s information is invalid
If there is an issue with your account information, a member of our support team will reach out and request a more information.
Note: When you make a withdrawal from a managed investing account, we sell your investments to create a cash balance for the amount you'd like to withdraw. If your withdrawal fails, we'll leave the cash balance in your account for five business days. After this period, we'll automatically reinvest your funds again.
